This web site is the "cyber"
extension of a series of project aiming to keep alive the memory of Ismet
Siral, one of the most important and authentic figures of the Turkish
jazz history. Another major aim of the site is to provide a communication
medium for the international documentary project under the theme "Ismet
Siral & Creative Music Studio (CMS)" which is in preparation.
The project that initiated on December 2001 with researches on Ismet
Siral's life and Turkish jazz history thereby, broadened its focus,
then, to cover the legendary story of CMS
where Siral taught between 1978 and 1980.
You may click the titles on the left and below to have detailed information
about Ismet Siral and the project. The links concerning the film footage
mostly taken on the first quarter of 2003 and the media
coverage in Turkey are newer. The links below are shortcuts to some
subtitles of the site.
